My name is Elizabeth or Eli (my nickname starting in high school). I am a former soccer player who traded her cleats in for running shoes and haven’t looked back since. I grew up in the Massillon/Canton area and still love going back to run most of my races in that region (what can I say, I’m a sucker for running through my old stomping grounds and their many hills). I went to the University of Toledo for both my undergrad and grad work. I have my BS in Exercise Science and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (paging…Doctor of Physical Therapy Mason…please).
that girl was being mean to me
I enjoy the freedom that running allows me; it is not only a source of stress relief but it also allows me to set goals, be competitive, and keeps me happy and sane. I want to set a good example for general health/wellness for patients. What better way to do this than practicing what you preach? I am always willing to answer any therapy related and running related questions to the best of my professional expertise although **warning** you may hear my favorite line to say “It is hard to definitively diagnose without being able to physically check you out”.
I am happily married to my best friend. We took a long, roundabout way of getting there, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. We balance each other out, but I can’t imagine running through life without someone as wonderful there with me!

Do you ever throw them out?
